OMICRON HVX10 ‘Click-Snap-Lock & Play’ Enhance Your Testing Capabilities with the HVX10 System Component
The optional HVX10 module expands the functionality of the CPX 200 by combining capacitance, dissipation/power factor, and insulation resistance testing into one compact, lightweight device. Thanks to its integrated generic high-voltage source, insulation diagnostics can be performed with minimal cabling and in record time. The HVX10 employs an optimized test procedure that combines both voltage and frequency sweeps, enabling a thorough assessment of insulation quality across a wide frequency range — from 1 Hz to 600 Hz. This allows for evaluation not only at mains frequency but also under varying conditions, helping to detect issues such as moisture ingress, premature aging, and voltage-dependent insulation behavior.
Designed for ease of use, the HVX10 features a quick-release mechanism for effortless and secure connection to the CPX 200 — and just as easy disconnection. Its low weight makes it highly portable, allowing both devices to be conveniently moved within substations, especially when testing entire fields and feeders. Setup is fast and efficient thanks to OMICRON’s innovative high-voltage cable design and the HVX10’s four measuring inputs, which enable transformer bushing measurements without the need for rewiring.
The CPX 200 a comprehensive solution developed to meet the evolving needs of modern power systems. Paired with the HVX10, it delivers unmatched versatility, precision, and efficiency in primary asset testing.
