Registration

Registrations must be submitted online or in writing on the enclosed manual registration form. For Eskom delegates it is imperative that the Eskom internal registration and/or cancellation forms are also forwarded to us directly by email to ensure your registration is recorded correctly. A conference registration confirmation will be sent out within five working days from receipt of your registration. On submitting a registration, the registrant agrees to the terms and conditions set out below.

SAUC 2025 is a Hybrid event, which means registrants are allowed to attend either physically or virtually online. Registrants can change their mode of attendance (physical or online) by informing us in writing until one week prior to the event, i.e. deadline to change mode of attendance is Friday 18 July 2025.

ECSA

We have applied for SAUC 2025 to be accredited with the Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA) in terms of the ECSA Continuing Professional Development rules. The final validation number and the number of credits offered will be communicated to each participant after the conference.

Venue

Kgotla Hall at the Indaba Hotel and Conference Centre, Fourways, Johannesburg, or online through Microsoft Teams.

Conference fees / Terms of payment

Cost per person: ZAR 4400.00 excluding VAT

The conference fees include the conference proceedings on a memory stick, lunches as well as refreshments during breaks. Other possible costs for overnight accommodation, travel, local transport, etc. are not included. Invoices for the conference are payable by Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) on presentation of an invoice, unless otherwise agreed.

A limited number of hotel rooms are available at a preferential rate at the Indaba Hotel on a first come, first serve basis. Please contact the hotel directly quoting “OMICRON” when making your booking.

Visual Media

Visual media such as photos and videos will be recorded during the conference, breaks and evening entertainment. You specifically give consent to Alectrix and OMICRON to publish and use such media in any form for promotional and marketing purposes of any kind, be it in printed or electronic format, as part of an email, on the internet, on social media or any other app.

Cancellation of registration

All cancellations or change of registration must be submitted in writing. Should a registrant for any reason not be able to attend we will accept a substitute at no additional charge, but require prior notification. As conference places cannot be filled at short-notice, we will charge the full conference fees if a cancellation is received after 18 July 2025 or in the case of ‘No shows’.

Disclaimer of liability

The technical information given at the conference and in the conference proceedings has been carefully compiled following guidelines, recognized technical principles and our experience. We cannot be held liable for any errors in the technical information which has been communicated either orally or in writing during the conference, or which is contained in the software used. Furthermore, we cannot be held liable for any possible resulting damages or consequential damages. This disclaimer of liability is not valid as long as liability becomes coercive due to intent or gross negligence.

Copyright

All conference material provided is exclusively intended for personal use of the participant. We reserve the right to the copyright of the material and all its contents, reprint and duplication. For this reason, no part of the conference material may be reproduced, duplicated, processed or distributed with the help of electronic systems by third parties without our written consent, independent of its purpose. This obligation is also valid for the time after completion of the conference. Non-compliance renders the perpetrator liable for compensation or damages.
