MPD Suite software version 1.60 now available

OMICRON has announced the launch of MPD Suite Software version 1.60, now available for the MPD 800 and UHF 800 partial discharge (PD) measurement systems. The new release introduces a range of feature enhancements designed to streamline workflows, improve measurement efficiency, and extend the powerful capabilities of the MPD toolbox.

Key Highlight: Alignment with IEC 60270:2025

The most significant update in version 1.60 is the improved MPD 800 performance check, now fully aligned with the latest changes introduced in the IEC 60270:2025 standard. This ensures users remain compliant with evolving industry requirements while maintaining high accuracy in PD testing.

Enhanced Cable Factory Workflow

• Added support for saving and restoring measurement sessions within measurement profiles.
• Now accommodates cable lengths of up to 7.8 km, improving usability for large‑scale cable testing operations.

New UHF 800 Functionalities

• Active and passive triggering of scopes, including cross-triggering to MPD 800 units.
• Support for min./max. hold on sweep plots.
• Ability to capture sweep plots and store completed sweeps directly in PD dataset files for immediate recall.

Improved Measurement Tools & Usability

• Gating channels added to configuration selection groups.
• New hot button for fast FFT capture and clearing.
• MPD Suite license information now includes detailed software package information.
• Scope markers can snap to secondary plots, with new scaling factor options.
• TEV1 and HV resistors added to the AC/DC measurement setup.
• Expanded Measured Quantities display, including divider factors.
• Ability to apply phase shift in PRPD diagrams and PRPD phase information.

Stability Improvements
