Important Notice: Support Timeline for CMC Devices with NET-1x Interface

We would like to take this opportunity to kindly remind you that support for CMC testing devices equipped with a NET-1x interface will be phased out in the future. To assist you with your planning, OMICRON has extended software support for these devices. With this article, we would like to provide you with clear and timely information regarding the upcoming end of software, repair, and calibration support.

Devices that are affected

The following devices with a NET-1x interface are being phased out:

• CMC 356 – NET‑1x (Year of introduction 2008)
• CMC 353 – NET‑1x (Year of introduction 2010)
• CMC 310 – NET‑1x (Year of introduction 2013)
• CMC 256plus – NET‑1x (Year of introduction 2007)
• CMC 850 – NET‑1x (Year of introduction 2011)

The last opportunity to purchase these devices has already passed and the support and service periods are also coming to an end. For all NET-1x devices, repairs will be discontnued end of 2028, while calibration services for all models will be offered until the end of 2030 latest. The discontinuation does not apply to any of the CMC devices listed above that are equipped with a NET-2 interface.

Important information regarding software support

The following applies to all devices with a NET 1x interface:

• Test Universe 5.00 and RelaySimTest 5.10 are the final versions that offer full support for NET-1x devices.
• New software versions are expected to be released in early 2027 and will no longer support NET-1x devices.
