The latest update enhances our lightweight, battery-powered and versatile tool with additional measurement capabilities. Designed specifically for commissioning teams, maintenance teams, and service providers in electrical power systems.
Introducing the CIB1 Accessory
The new CIB1 accessory enables efficient and safe impedance and screen current measurements on cables and short medium-voltage overhead lines. Automatic switching of measurement loops, only two cables, and an improved workflow greatly enhance efficiency. Its integrated safety functions and optimized wiring solution significantly boost personal safety, making it an ideal solution for operations and maintenance teams.
New Application Modules for Cable Testing
Our new application modules offer an intuitive and guided workflow, delivering accurate results and all model and k-factor calculations directly on the device.
Cable Impedance Application Module2
- Impedance of cables and short medium-voltage overhead lines up to 10 km / 6 miles
- Calculation of positive sequence Z1, zero sequence Z0, earth impedance ZE, various other line models, and k-factors
Cable Shield Current Application Module2
- Shield current distribution in single-core cable systems
- Supports up to 9 parallel cable systems and optional auxiliary ground connections
- Calculation of expected currents for symmetric three-phase applications
- Helps detecting unbalanced current distribution and potential overloading of cable shields
New Possibilities for Grounding System Testing
The new CIB1 can be used with the updated ground impedance and step and touch voltage application modules. Both now support the CIB1 to safely inject test-current via a de-energized, remotely grounded cable, eliminating the need for an auxiliary current probe. This significantly reduces test effort, especially for step- and touch voltage measurements, because no long measurement cables are required to inject the test current.
