Speaker: Renier Smit – Customer Care and Support Engineer – Alectrix (Pty) Ltd.
Renier Smit has over a decade of experience in Testing and Commissioning. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from the University of Johannesburg (UJ). After completing his studies, he joined Transnet Engineering as part of the Research and Development Department, where he focused on rail sector technologies. He later transitioned into the mining sector, where he was involved in the design, development, and commissioning of modernized mining equipment. In January 2025, Renier joined Alectrix as a Sales and Support Engineer, supporting industry-leading power system testing solutions.
